Professor Filippenko is an amazing communicator, absolutely one of the best—so anything that he does is guaranteed to be engaging and informative. That said, this particular video recording does not have very high quality audio, and the slight distortion may make this less pleasant to watch than other videos. The topic does not, on its face, clearly tie in to nanoscale science and technology. I assume that he makes a connection somewhere in the talk, and once I get through the whole lecture, I will summarize the connection here. Since the connection is not made at the start of the talk, I’m taking off one star.
