Abstract

For the success of any college program a strong partnership between educators and industry personnel needs to exist. Yet many educators have very little experience interfacing with industry or company representatives. This presentation summarizes a proven approach that helps educators find, collect and refine the information that is needed to successfully work with industry and establish strong partnerships. The process and source for collecting employee competencies required by industry is outlined. Also covered is the process for finding the right person within a company to approach as a first step.
