Jacob Trevino is currently the Chief Executive Officer at Chemeleon, a Brooklyn, NY-based start-up company developing next-generation colorimetric chemical and biological sensors. Chemeleon seeks to apply nanotechnology, photonics, and molecular recognition to create novel devices for the medical, environmental, and food industries. Jacob also is an Adjunct Associate Professor at Columbia University in the Department of Electrical Engineering, teaching graduate courses in micro and nanofabrication. He is also the founder and president of Nanotech NYC and the Nanotech Alliance, organizations that aim to foster the continued growth of the nanotechnology and nanoscience community in the greater NYC area and beyond.
