Abstract

This MNT-CURN workshop will introduce students to the use of large language models (LLMs) as coding assistants. This will be done through two approaches; first, using web-based chatbots like ChatGPT, Claude, and Gemini for code-related queries. Several examples of how to best use these tools will be presented. Next, editor-integrated chatbots will be introduced, such as GitHub Copilot. The first approach can be performed by any student from a phone/laptop, and requires an email/phone number to sign up.
