Abstract

This data set contains the collected in vivo pulmonary toxicity results contained in 18 published studies conducted between 2004 and 2011 with single- and multi-walled carbon nanotubes. These data include characterization measurements of the CNT samples as well as observed animal toxic responses through a variety of indicators measured in bronchoalveolar lavage (BAL) fluid.

A total of 995 animals reflecting 135 unique exposure scenarios including control groups are included. The 83 columns contain 33 attributes describing the CNT samples or the exposure parameters and 43 columns reflecting observations of the different toxicological endpoints including distribution parameters.
