Abstract
This Jupyter notebook serves as an introduction to electrolyzers and fuel cell technology. Users review the fundamentals of chemical reactions, thermodynamics, and electrochemistry as they relate to the electrolysis of water (water-splitting). Finally, these concepts are linked together to simulate how different electrode materials influence the overpotential as a function of current density for the hydrogen evolution reaction.
