Followup: Uniaxial Strain is Scaled from Entered Value
So I’ve kind of answered my own question:
I can see that the strains are applied along the z-axis even though the program states along (Exx). So when I ask the program to apply a 0.01 strain along the x-axis, it is actually applied along the z-axis. However the charts are plotted with strain along the x-axis, the 0.01 strain along the z-axis yields a strain of 0.0028 along the x-axis due to Poisson’s ratio in silicon.
I suggest that some of the text in the program clarify this.
