Topic: Comsol Hands-on Workshop on MEMS Simulation
Date: October 22th, 2013
Time: 1:30 pm – 4:30 pm
Location: University of Michigan, Windows Training Rooms 1 & 2, James and Anne Duderstadt Center, 2281 Bonisteel Boulevard, Ann Arbor, MI 48109-2094
Presenter: Chandan Kumar, Ph.D, Comsol Applications.
In this Workshop, we will focus on COMSOL’s MEMS Module which encompasses easy-to-use tools for the study of MEMS devices. Important applications include simulations of Pressure sensors, Gyroscopes, electrokinetic and Piezoelectric Microgripper.
Agenda:
◾Learn the capabilities of the MEMS module in COMSOL in modeling a range of MEMS devices including electrostatically actuated resonators, accelerometers, piezoelectric devices and thermal actuators
◾Examine COMSOL’s in-built interfaces to couple various phenomenon related to Mechanical, Electrical, Thermal and Fluid effects required for modeling a MEMS device
◾Work through few MEMS related example models with a COMSOL engineer
◾Closing Comments and Wrap up |
