Research in nanotechnology is taking place at an exponential rate, since last five years engineers, academicians, researchers and students are talking about nanotechnology and lots of seminars, conferences and workshops are being organised. In India, huge amount of grant and good policies is provided by Government of India in order to engourage nanotechnology research. Many of the DRDO organisations, reputed Governmnet funded Universities, Institutions, and private colleges are carrying out research activities in nanotechnology. However, these activities are not very siginificant in nanoelectronics and applications of nanoelectronics. Many are not aware of how to start working with nanoelectronics and are still confused. This user group is one such inititative to create awarness among young and motivated researchers to pursue their research interest. This users group is set up with the following objectives: 1. Create awareness among working professionals, students, researchers about nanoelectronics, applications of nanoelectronics, resources for learning nanoelectronics, use of simulation tools for nanoelectronics 2. Develop a community of experts, those who can support and help research activities in nanaoelectronics in India 3. Develop new technology and build new applications based on nanodevices 4. Prepare user friendly resources to learn and understand nanoelectronics Interested professionals are always welcome to become members, and contribute to the growth of nanoelectonics research in India. Building knowledge for self and sharing the same with others contribute to the growth of a Nation.
